INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY - March 8th 2023
I am proud to be a Woman Led small UK business and I am also proud to have raised an independent daughter who supports herself, strives hard every day to do her best, have fun and make her own decisions. This is not the same across the World, sadly. We have all heard of the brave strong women in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan, standing up for the right to be educated, to wear what they choose to wear and for the right to a happy life, I am blown away by their courage. In other countries, women are not regarded as having the same purpose in life as a man, this has to change and I feel slowly, too slowly, it is.
So on March 8th, let us show our support for all the ladies around the World bravely standing up for a happy life full of education, opportunities, laughter and love.

And finally …..
Have you noticed the frogs in your pond and the first sounds of bumblebees? Nature is very healing, soothing and calming but it needs our help. Please leave cutting back your flowers, hedges and shrubs. There may be ladybirds, caterpillars and other insects resting and as the weather is still cool, they will not be ready to wake up yet. Hedgehogs are though and are very hungry. Leave out water and kitten biscuits for them. Bird food is poisonous as are slugs, its a misconception that hedgehogs eat slugs, that’s frogs! Hedgehogs like worms but the ground is so dry that worms are under the crust.
